XAGOBAH
This is version 6 of the game Xagobah, a game I began developing as homework for my Game Programming class. It has now been revamped as part of my Practical Game Design class. It is built in Unity and uses Unity2D tile map and animator to do most of the level design/fun stuff.
It has been a project of mine for over a year now and I haven't had more fun making it. It has a long way to go until it's complete but level by level, I get better at thinking of challenges and puzzles to put the player through. It is by no means, a complete game, though this will be interesting to keep developing with the new skills I am constantly learning.
The player controls a little green blob named Green Boy who has set out on a mission. You’re sick of people getting hurt when they accidentally walk into a floating gem, coin or special object. Sprite Jr. aims to collect all the harmful floating items while helping their fellow Sprites on the planet Xagobah.
Controlling Green Boy you will encounter many characters whose struggles can be easily solved with a little bit of your help! You will complete puzzles, rebuild bridges and fall on spikes. I’m sure it’s all worth it when the ‘Level Complete’ screen pops up!
I had a great time making it and adding in sounds sourced from opengameart.org
